The casting of characters and going against stereotypes will reap rewards if your film is convincing.Of course your male could be a rapist and the female could be seeking revenge...you may wish to think about this idea.
I'd suggest you weight up the strengths and weaknesses of your ideas. For example: 1) Your first idea, I think there were problems with casting and that pensioners would be unlikely to bring down a tall and well built young man.
2) Think about cliches...the brief case??? A worn out cliche used by too many students in their productions.
3) Ideas may not reflect the concerns or interests of your target audience.
James could you evaluate your camera shots of locations, their generic significance in particular.
